A little about me...
Writer & Reader of All Things, Book Worm, Art Nerd, Theater Geek, Craft Beer Enthusiast
Hey! I'm Sommer and I'm glad you're here. I'm a writer and a forever student. I'm a true Gemini, so I like to wear many different hats. I'm open to all things that challenge me and allow me to learn something new.
I recently received my MFA from The Savannah College of Art and Design. While in the program, I focused on professional writing and marketing. My thesis project involved developing a comprehensive brand book and eBook for a digital marketing agency.
I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in English Literature and Cultural Studies as well as a minor in Art History. Some would say indecisive, but I would say life is too short to just pick one thing.
I was chosen for a competitive Art History Study Abroad Program through USF in 2016. I studied at Universities in Paris and London, immersed in European Art. It was the experience of a lifetime. My goal is to become fluent in French so that I can make the move to the city of lights one day.
I've been working full-time as a digital marketer and content creator since 2016. I focus on creating content that brands can use to share with their audience while promoting their services and improving their SEO rankings. I also manage several brands' social media presence. I work within various industries, promoting other marketing companies, fashion brands, photographers, and more.
My creative work has been published in St. Petian Magazine, The Port City Review, and The Salt Creek Journal.
I love writing, and I especially love writing about the things I love (there's a long list). Writing comes naturally and challenges me all at once. It's all in the process - sometimes grueling, always gratifying.
When not writing, you can find me reading, walking my pup around the gorgeous and historic city of Savannah, or coming up with a million new ideas. I live life to stay constantly inspired. I'm a forever student, always on the hunt for the next thing to learn and try my hand at.
Get in touch. Let's create something awesome together.
