Freelance Writer

I work with a variety of clients in many different industries to create blogs and articles for their websites, emails, and social platforms. This job has expanded my professional writing skills, as I had to learn and master SEO writing, as well as learn to write about literally anything.
Social Media & Marketing Manager
May 2018 - Present
I started working at MISRED, a women's fashion company, as a social media manager part-time while I was an undergrad. I worked my way up into a full-time management position, running a marketing team, a back-office team, and working as a fashion and accessory buyer, all while still managing the social platforms. My time at MISRED taught me so much in terms of my marketing, design, and management skills. I've taken this experience to work with a variety of clients to build their website content and social media platforms to drive engagement and conversions.
Freelance - Magazine Writer
May 2017-May 2018
I did freelance magazine writing for a local quarterly publication based out of my hometown in St. Petersburg called St. Petian. This magazine was made by locals, for locals. We did profiles on places new and old in the St. Petersburg area. This experience helped me better understand what it's like to write professionally with a creative flair.

My creative work has been published in St. Petian Magazine, The Port City Review, and The Salt Creek Journal.

M.F.A. Writing Program - Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD)
I received my Master's Degree in Fine Arts from SCAD and graduated magna cum laude. The program focused on modern professional writing practices and I took courses in Digital Communications, Public Relations, and Promotional Writing, to name a few. This program allowed me to take my professional writing skills to a whole new level, as SCAD emphasizes creative careers.
August 2014 - May 2018
B.A. English Literature, Cultural Studies and Art History - University of South Florida
At USF, I learned so much about writing through a cultural and artistic lense. My time at USF helped me cultivate my foundations in writing and allowed me to develop my voice. In 2016, I was chosen for an Art History Study abroad program in London and Paris. Here, I was able to be surrounded by great works of European art, and developed skills on how to write about art.
