Some self care this Sunday ft. this awesome book 🌺
I love a good self helpish book every now & then, but sometimes I find them a little too preachy or somewhat unrealistic. But after a friend recommended this one I grabbed it & devoured it! 📖

After working as a clinical psychiatrist & getting burnt out, Dr. Nicole LePera wanted to find an approach to well being that was more accessible - giving others tools to help heal themselves rather than relying on unaffordable professionals that you can only see and work with for short periods of times, & at most, a few times a month (not to mention, the resources).
What I loved about this book was that all the pieces of advice were actionable, with exercises and journal prompts at the end of each chapter.📝
The book works as a guide that you can return back to when dealing with issues such as boundary setting, childhood trauma, etc. while also allowing for an individualized approach. I loved that it’s not a one time read, it’s a tool I can use to continue gaining self awareness while also improving the relationships I have with those around me.🧘🏽♀️
If you’re looking for a self help book that will ACTUALLY give you insights & provide you with tools you can use now & in the future, pick this one up! I loved the approach @the.holistic.psychologist takes & also def recommend following her on social for tons of helpful content! ✨
Thanks for the rec @nm_madelaine😘
(Also shout out to @finches.sandwiches for having the prettiest mural & the yummiest sammies!😍)
